THE BANGLADESH TOUR,
Oct 22nd to Nov 5th,2011
(for 25 to 30 men only)

The Bangladesh Tour is only a part of our plans.  We intend to visit various holy places related to Sri Caitanya Mahaprabhu and His associates.

1.) SYLHET
The birthplace of Advaita Acarya, and also the ancestral home of Nilambara Chakravarty, Jagannatha Misra and Sacimata are there. Apparently on the actual location, there is not really a landmark in the form of a temple or the likes, but the place is known.ISKCON has a temple in Sylhet.

ISKCON SYLHET has quite a presence on the web

2.) PUNDARIK DHAMA (Chittagong)

This is the place of Pundarik Vidyanidhi a.k.a Premnidhi. Pundarika according to the Gaura Ganoddesh Dipika was Maharaja Vrsabhanu, during Krsna’s pastimes. Sri Caitanya Mahprabhu would sometimes refer to him as father. There are many pastimes mentioned in the Caitanya Caritamrta and in teh Caitanya Bhagavata about him.  Also Vasudeva Dutta came from this area.

THE CC STUDY GROUP
(7 Nov. to 26 Nov., 2011)

This program will be held in Sridhama Mayapur and is open to men and women.

This project will be launched under the administration of the Mayapur Institute.

The concept is as follows: There are two catagories of devotees who can take part in this CC Study Group. Participants and guests. Participants will take a particular subject and research and analyze it for three weeks. The sudy object will be the CC, but we will approach by not only looking at the text but also at related material, e.g. other biographies or relevant contextual materials. Every afternoon there will be a two hour lecture session. The participants will in turn make a half hour to fortyfive minute presentation on their topic. Then I (Kadamba Kanana Swami) will make a general presentation on the CC, consisiting of an overview and highlights of the CC. The participants will write an article on his/her study project, which must be completed before December 31st. After that we will publish the article as a journal or a book. We intend to develop this project over a number of years, and in this way build up some interesting material.

Your servant,

Kadamba Kanana Swami
