COMMENTS ON THE OVERVIEW OF THE BASIC OUTLINE OF THE NOD (eastern division)
1.) The opening verse of the BRS, "akhila rasamrta murtih" is the objective, it describes prayojana, the ultimate goal.
2.) "anya abhilasita sunyam" is the requirement to attain that goal
3.) "klesaghni subhada" describes the workings of the purification process and the stages attained at different levels of advancement
4.) sadhana bhakti the means to cultivate "anya abhilasa"
5.) bhava bhakti - the preliminary stage to topmost perfection
6.) prema bhakti - devotional service in the topmost stage, in the relationship with akhila rasamrta murtih.

  • Krsna is the embodiment of all rasas
  • He maintains eternal relationships with various devotees, attracted to serve Him in different rasas
  • The dearmost devotee of all is Smt. Radharani
